There are seasons in my life where I don’t know what to pray or struggle to do so. My thoughts feel heavy, my anxiety is loud, and opening my Bible sometimes feels overwhelming. During these moments, God often meets me through worship music.
I’m not saying a song can replace prayer, Scripture, or professional help when it’s needed. But I have learned that music has a way of reaching places in my heart that words sometimes cannot.
These are some of the songs that have encouraged me, reminded me of God’s promises, and helped bring peace during difficult seasons. Maybe one of them will encourage you too.

- “Mighty Name of Jesus” – The Belonging Co & Hope Darst
This song reminds me that no matter what I’m facing, the name of Jesus is greater than my fear, anxiety, or circumstances. It helps me refocus on His power instead of my problems. - “Meet Me in the Valley” – Tasha Layton
I love this song because it reminds me that God doesn’t wait for me to climb out of my lowest moments—He meets me right there. It gives me hope that I’m never walking through hard seasons alone. - “The Blessing” – Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes
Whenever I listen to this song, I’m reminded that God’s love and faithfulness extend far beyond what I can see today. It fills my heart with peace and reminds me that His promises never fail. - “Haven’t Seen It Yet” – Danny Gokey
This song encourages me to keep trusting God even when I can’t see the outcome. It reminds me that just because I haven’t seen His answer yet doesn’t mean He isn’t working. - “Praise” – Elevation Worship
This song reminds me that praise isn’t just for the good days. Choosing to worship, even when life is difficult, helps shift my focus back to God’s goodness. - “Even Then” – Micah Tyler
I listen to this song when I need to remember that God is faithful in every season, even when I don’t understand what’s happening. It encourages me to trust Him through the waiting. - “Made For More” – Josh Baldwin
This song reminds me that my struggles don’t define my future. God created me with purpose, and He is still writing my story. - “Jehovah” – Elevation Worship
I love how this song reminds me of who God is—my Provider, my Peace, and my Strength. It helps me remember that I can depend on Him no matter what I’m facing. - “Just Be Held” – Casting Crowns
This song reminds me that I don’t have to carry every burden by myself. Sometimes the strongest thing I can do is let go and allow God to hold me through the storm. - “Survivor” – Zach Williams
This song encourages me to look back and recognize how faithful God has been through every trial. It reminds me that, by His grace, I can keep moving forward with hope.

I know that worship music won’t make every struggle disappear, but I’ve experienced how God can use it to bring peace, comfort, and hope in the middle of difficult times. These songs have reminded me that I’m never alone, even when life feels overwhelming. If you’re walking through a hard time, I pray that one or more of these songs encourages your heart the way they’ve encouraged mine. Spend a few quiet moments listening, reflecting on the lyrics, and inviting God into whatever you’re carrying today. I’d love to hear which worship songs have strengthened your faith, so feel free to share your favorites in the comments!
Many Blessings,
Lisa Marie
